Employment Fraud: Protecting Yourself from Scams

The prevalence of job scams and phishing schemes is increasing within the recruitment industry. As such, fraudsters are unlawfully incorporating the Solomon Page name and logo into their deceptive practices. Individuals posing as Solomon Page recruiters, falsely promising job opportunities that do not exist. Fraudsters exploit unsuspecting individuals, seeking sensitive information like social security or banking numbers, or even requesting money from their victims. As a reputable staffing firm, Solomon Page will never request payment for a job opportunity.

Solomon Page treats matters related to fraudulent messages with utmost seriousness. We are committed to maintaining the integrity of communications and ensuring the security of our interactions with candidates, clients, and partners.

Solomon Page will:

  • Never contact you via a gmail.com email address. All email correspondence with our recruiters will be with a @solomonpage.com email address.
  • Never contact candidates via WhatsApp.
  • Never ask for personal details, including banking information, your full social security number, etc. via text message or WhatsApp. For select contract roles, you will be asked for the last four digits of your social security number, along with your date of birth (MM/DD). If you are asked for personal details via email, communication will come from a verified email address ending in ‘@solomonpage.com’.
  • Never charge candidates any fee to work with us or for training opportunities.

If you suspect that you have been contacted by someone impersonating a Solomon Page employee, please consider taking the following steps:

  • If contacted on LinkedIn, report the profile as fake. Additional instructions on how to do so can be found here: LinkedIn Help.
